Dare: coordinate a web integration in Morocco

Starting from a model and a brief to coordinate the development of a site with a team in Morocco, then supporting operational and technical transition issues.

THE NEED

A model to be integrated with a remote team and a functioning to be prepared for the customer.

THE INTERVENTION

Coordination of the integration team and technical monitoring of operations

THE CONCRETE CONTRIBUTION

Coordination between creation, development and exploitation, prolonged by accompanying the technical transition.

The situation: transform the graphic project into a site

The Ose project had a brief, a tree structure, a theme and a welcome model. Coordination of the integration was entrusted to Patrice, present on site with the team in Morocco.

This intervention made the link between the graphic intentions of the agency and the people responsible for development, with the technical and creative contacts concerned.

Preserving the place of products and visuals

The product pages had to follow the principle of the large welcome slideshow, with one product per view. The presentation therefore had to remain consistent from one screen to another, while allowing for variation in content.

The period model presents this visual orientation: an important place for photography, product and navigation. It allows the integration work to be located without confusing the design document with a screenshot of the published site.

Specify the conditions for updating

The operational questions concerned the back office, the updating method and the expected characteristics of the photographs. The availability of a site had to be accompanied by an understanding of how to maintain its content.

Technical monitoring brought these needs closer to the theme and integration choices. Media administration and preparation were part of the operation to be explained to customer contacts.

Supporting the transition between providers

In 2015, a site transition required coordination between the agency, the brand and the service provider taking over operations. The subjects concerned in particular the domain, DNS settings, audience measurement and the articulation between the servers.

Patrice acted as a technical contact in the preparation of this recovery and the points with the network stakeholders. The role focused on continuity and the transmission of elements useful for the transition.

A distributed coordination experience

This project links subjects that are often separated: graphic design, development in Morocco, product content, administration and operational recovery.

It illustrates a practice of project management with distributed teams: specifying expectations, connecting specialists and making the operation of the site understandable for the people who take it over.

This case study presents the experience of Patrice Salib, founder of Dtouch, acquired at Reymann with the agency's teams and its development and production partners.
