Supporting a professional catalog over time

For an oenological products and services company, site monitoring combined catalog, maintenance and coordination of contributors, then preparation of a new organization of pages.

Experience of Patrice and project teams · 2018–2026 · new redesign in preparation

A site that follows the evolution of the offer

The work begins with products, photos and a team that wants to better present its business. A new site is made available, then requests become more precise as it is used: find a deleted file, distinguish description and characteristics, present prices excluding taxes. The catalog is a living commercial tool. Its organization must track the information that customers and employees need.

Maintain the technical framework of the contribution

Patrice supports the site over several years, with the technical stakeholders concerned. Updates to the CMS and page editor should allow the team to continue working. When a difficulty prevents access or modification of pages, monitoring involves getting them back into operation and then resuming work with users. Restorations are confirmed by the client, in particular when access to the pages is made available in June 2024.

Combine communication, graphics and development

The communications manager brings her knowledge of the offers and prepares visual proposals. A graphic designer intervenes on the presentation. External audits also fueled reflection on the structure of the site, the presentation of the offer and the means of contact. The development examines integration possibilities. This cooperation links the content, the presentation choices and the means of bringing the site to life. Accommodation has historically been provided within the Dtouch framework; the graphic design and auditors' recommendations remain those of the contributors and partners concerned.

Preparing for more autonomy

The new request specifies the expected framework: template pages, reusable blocks, menus, harmonized styles and an environment in which the team can add content more easily. External audits help guide this preparation; their recommendations define areas of work to be examined. A rapprochement between store and commercial management is also envisaged. These developments are part of the preparation for the redesign, with design and integration work to continue.

Maintain a vision of the complete journey

This experience connects the daily use of the catalog and the choices necessary for its evolution. Monitoring concerns both the information published, the contribution tools and the coordination of people. For Dtouch, this type of project requires understanding the roles of each person and distinguishing the stages: maintaining the existing service, preparing the new framework, then checking the developments before their adoption.
