Clestra: preparing an international web overhaul
Technical reference for a recasting project involving WordPress, several regions, accommodation constraints and a need for liaison with CRM.
An international redesign to be prepared without disrupting other hosted sites and services.
Technical reference agency and coordination with client teams and providers
A separate target environment, a recipe organized with several regions and a framing of the connection to CRM.
The situation: an international site and several outbuildings
The project had to organize content for several activities and several regions. The tree structure notably distinguished workspaces and clean room solutions, with entries for products, projects and services.
The preparation combined navigation, languages, research and contacts. Patrice was the technical contact for the agency in discussions with the client and the host.
Preparing accommodation for the new environment
The new site was based on a PHP and MySQL environment different from that of the sites already hosted. Developing the common server would have had consequences on other applications.
The coordination work therefore focused on a separate infrastructure for the new project and on the conditions for coexistence during the transition. The sizing and prerequisites were reconciled with the client and the hosting provider.
Organize a recipe with Asian regions
The interlocutors in Japan, China and South Korea had to be able to control their versions. The test environment required appropriate permissions to enable these checks.
Technical monitoring linked the needs of regional teams, access conditions and those responsible for the server. The international recipe was therefore part of the preparation for putting it online.
Framework the connection of contacts to the CRM
The client wanted to reconcile site requests with its Efficy CRM. The technical discussions focused on the principle of web services and the information to be transmitted from WordPress.
This part of the project is presented as an integration framework: examining the possibilities of the site, specifying the needs and bringing together the specialists concerned. Preparing for this connection completes the content and hosting topics.
Contribution: getting stakeholders to work together
Patrice's role combined technical reference, dialogue with developers, preparation of hosting and coordination of recipe needs.
This case concerns the design, integration and migration preparation phases of the project: a reading of the site in its complete environment, with the teams of the agency, the client and the service providers.
This case study presents the experience of Patrice Salib, founder of Dtouch, acquired at Reymann with the agency's teams and its development and production partners.
