A shop window

The Cora Discount project responded to an internal use: allowing stores to visualize the products offered for their regional communications, even in the absence of a physical collection in the room.

The consultation was to present the offers by family, sub-family and month of availability. The aim was to build a tool usable by sales teams and stores, with appropriate product administration and business information.

Adapt the catalog to the purchasing decision

New, clearance, price reduction, minimum and maximum quantities, availability: the criteria useful for selection were integrated into the files and navigation. Faceted navigation and feature permanence were part of the development work.

A filter must express the same rule as the product data sheet. Exchanges with developers included testing of checkboxes, differences in behaviour between filters and default field control.

A basket valued according to the rules of the profession

The basket had to be adapted to be valued at the purchase price multiplied by the quantities, with the information necessary for the summary and its printing. The addition behavior was also adjusted to the expected path.

These modifications required understanding the mechanisms of PrestaShop, the files concerned and the effects of a change on the form, the basket and the display. An e-commerce database thus becomes a business tool serving a network of stores.

Evolve in beta then postpone to production

The technical work was carried out on a beta environment. Patrice requested the necessary explanations to carry over the changes to the production version.

This organization combined coordination with the offshore developer, functional tests and support for business contacts. Opening up to users also required discussions with the brands’ IT departments.

This case study presents the experience of Patrice Salib, founder of Dtouch, acquired at Reymann with the agency's teams and its development and production partners.
