Linking the search for parts to the purchase supplier

A business portal brings together orders, search results supplier and cart preparation. Developments follow the work of users, up to manually modified prices and errors to be addressed.

Application made available to users · September 2026 · some research still in development

Gathering the supply stages

In this auto parts business, users must express a request, track an order and search for available references. A business portal gives them a common entry point. The integration work then focuses on a decisive step: transforming a supplier search into choices that can be used to prepare the purchase from the order.

Show search in the command form

The supplier's results appear directly with the parts offered, their price and their availability. The user can select an offer for each line. The price selected is reported in the tax-free purchase field, while the other choices on the same line are deselected. The route thus maintains the link between the initial request, the chosen reference and the price used for the order.

Preserving user-made adjustments

Behavior takes manual labor into account. If a part is unchecked, the price entered remains in place, in order to preserve a possible correction. A thumbnail allows you to consult the technical drawing and enlarge it. These details accompany the user's decision: to compare, recognize the part and keep the adjustments he made during preparation.

Prepare supplier's basket

A button opens the supplier service with selected parts already placed in the basket, using a dedicated Chrome extension. The path provides messages when the piece is not recognized or when the opening of the new tab is blocked. The availability of these functions was announced to users in September 2026, with a call to highlight the difficulties encountered.

Identify the functions that remain to be built

The project also explores search by registration and navigation in an exploded view of the vehicle divided into zones. This part is still under development in the state presented. The acquired result concerns the reconciliation of the order, the supplier selection and the basket. This Patrice development experience illustrates the professional work proposed by Dtouch: understanding successive gestures, connecting tools and handling cases where the user must keep control.

Understand and prepare

Maintain continuity between demand, choice and purchase.

The status of the application presented in September 2026 already links the order to the supplier selection and the basket. The detail of interactions explains the way in which business development supports user decisions.

A decision attached to the command line

The selection of an offer must maintain its link with the requested item. The purchase price excluding taxes is transferred to the line and the other choices are deselected. This rule makes the path understandable during the comparison: the user finds what he has retained and the amount used. Consulting the technical drawing, with enlargement, provides another reference for examining the part before continuing with the preparation.

Manual labor is taken into account

The user can correct a price during preparation. Maintaining this value when a part is unchecked avoids losing this adjustment over the course of selections. This detail gives a design principle useful to other applications: identifying the data offered by the tool and that modified by the person. The replacement or retention rules must be explicit, especially when the path combines automatic search and business decision.

Switching to an external service requires useful feedback

Opening the supplier basket is based on a dedicated Chrome extension. The route provides messages for an unrecognized part or a blocked new tab. These situations must be able to be understood by the user, with a possible outcome. The provision is accompanied by an invitation to address the difficulties. Other research, including registration and breakdown divided into zones, is still following its development in the state presented. Tracking keeps a clear read of available functions and next steps.
