Clap Production: redesigning a film site
Give the films, photographs and content of a production association a coherent journey, with the Reymann web team, from redesign to recipe.
Films, files and media to be organized in a new version of the site.
Technical coordination, diagnosis and monitoring with the agency’s web team
A rework followed as a recipe on pages and media; a historical version preserved in the Wayback Machine.
The situation: organizing media-rich productions
The site was to present projects and films with different information: summary, technical sheet, broadcast, photographs and video. The headings were intended to make this material easy to navigate.
The work involved designing the pages, choosing the content to keep and preparing the missing media, with the site managers and the agency's digital team.
Structure sheets and headings
The new version brought together a home page and entries devoted to productions, activities and the association. Each film sheet had to maintain a readable presentation despite the diversity of documents and media.
The recipe exchanges also specified the order of the modules: photographs, summary, film and associated productions. The content structure and page behavior were checked together.
Intervene in the Joomla and PHP environment
The technical recovery included the Joomla template and its behavior in the PHP environment used at the time. Warnings appeared in different elements of the page.
Patrice participated in the diagnosis with the team, linking the messages to the template code. This work completed the integration of the site by examining its operation on the server.
Conduct a recipe based on real uses
The checks included the presentation of the logo, titles, links, galleries, alignment of modules and distribution of videos. The playback format and starting point of a film were part of the process to be controlled.
Preparing to go online included written feedback and a review with the client. It made it possible to bring together the remarks of the pages and media concerned.
A site that gives a place to productions
The version preserved in the public archive from 2015 presents this redesign work. The visual allows you to discover the organization of the site and the place given to the achievements.
Patrice's role was in the technical management and support of the web team, which ensured the design and integration of the pages.
This case study presents the experience of Patrice Salib, founder of Dtouch, acquired at Reymann with the agency's teams and its development and production partners.
